A bit of background about us 🙂

Owner, Nicole, has always had a passion for cooking. 

She has completed a four year flower making course, followed by graduating from the South African Chefs Academy in 2010. While achieving this qualification she had an instant draw to the sweeter side of the kitchen. 

After graduating, she gained experience working in the pastry kitchen of 5 star cruise ships followed by a number of bakeries and cake shops - where she got a taste of creating, personalizing and decorating cakes. 

This is when Your Hearts Design was born. Nicole started her own cake decorating business in 2020 and has loved every second of it. Her absolute passion is creating personalized and specialized cakes and confectionaries for all occasions - each design is a work of art, straight from the heart!

Frequently asked Questions

Where are you based?

We are currently based in Cape Town and service the whole area of Cape Town. 

How long in advance should you order?

The sooner the better! To avoid disappointment, we usually recommend a 2 week lead time on orders. We will always try to help out with last minute orders where we can.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, there is a 25% deposit required one week before the collection date. 

Can you customize anything?

Absolutely! Your wish, is our command. 

What flavour cakes do you do?

Yoghurt cake (most popular) chocolate, vanilla, coconut, lightly lemon, dark chocolate & orange, lemon poppy seed, red velvet, rainbow cake and carrot cake. We are always open to trying new flavour combinations, so if there is a special flavour you would prefer, you can just let us know 🙂
